NetCrunch 6

In questo rilascio sono stati corretti i seguenti bachi e problemi:

• Non tutti i volumi venivano mostrati durante la definizione degli eventi per apparati di tipo Linux
• In alcuni casi l'atlante risultava corrotto dopo un riavvio
• Problemi durante la raccolta dei dati tramite SNMPv3 dai dispositivi D-Link
• Trappole di tipo SNMPv2 non raggruppabili
• Problemi durante il salvataggio dei dati dell'inventario
• Messaggio di errore durante la definizione di una politica di monitoraggio
• Falsi allarmi quando il parametro di monitoraggio “Contatore di Ripetizione” è impostato a 1 per il servizio PING
• Problemi durante le operazioni di backup di atlanti di grandi dimensioni
• Registrazione di un messaggio di errore nel registro degli eventi della macchina remota di tipo Windows 2008 Server durante l'esecuzione di un script Windows
• Il Grafico delle Prestazioni non mostra valori nella Finestra di Anteprima degli Eventi

The following bugs and issues have been fixed:

• Opening node properties from ‘Monitoring issues’ window caused program error
• Program error during saving data could cause data loss
• In some specific cases program error was caused by memory overrun
• Saving and exporting atlas failed when ‘Monitor Windows Services’ was enabled for a node
• Multiple copies of the same map (IP network) appeared in Custom Views
• Update License did not update Service Agreement for Remote Access license
• Changes in Auto Discovery filter for IP Networks (Change Filter) were not saved
• Results of ‘Show Port Mapping’ could not be saved with NetCrunch Server installed on Microsoft Windows Server 2003
• Monitoring SNMP performance was slow while using SNMPv3
• Trap definitions were missing in MIB Browser after compiling a new MIB file
• In some cases removing report from Monitoring Policy caused program error
• Monitoring Windows services got disabled after restarting NetCrunch Server service
• Program stability has been improved
• Processor utilization while monitoring larger networks has been improved
• In some cases displaying maps via Web Access hung on ‘Loading…’ operation

The following bugs and issues have been fixed:

The following bugs and issues have been fixed:

• NetCrunch Server caused high CPU utilization while monitoring a couple of dozen Linux nodes with incorrect credentials
• Comparing inventory data caused high CPU utilization

The following bugs and issues have been fixed:

• Program crashed when monitoring the same counter on a large amount of nodes
• Test of 'Terminate Windows Process' action did not work
• Inventory audit was not performed automatically for newly created atlas

Improvements:

• Network Discovery Wizard - has been simplified and extended to scan networks up to 30 hops.
• New Dashboard Layout - summary views for atlas and maps has been redesigned. New dashboard layout for atlas, maps and monitoring policies presents the overview of most critical network monitoring elements.
• Enhanced Event Log Window - group by alert raise time. Preview pane can be located at the bottom or on the left or right side.
• Improved Charts and Gauges in Performance Views
• Enhanced Atlas Tree filtering
• Number of other UI interface improvements like: more clear way of displaying time values, new grouping possibilites.
• Improved toolbars and navigation between views.

The following bugs and issues have been fixed:

• New device definition was not available after device list was updated
• Linux monitor on SLES and OES2 operating systems did not work
• In some cases editing or creating blank maps caused program error
• When newer Japanese version of NetCrunch was found, installation file of English version was downloaded
• Action to notify user with pager did not work
• Events with custom 'Application' group were missing in NetCrunch's Event Log filters
• Inventory audit did not work properly (Software Audit Error)
• Redirecting SNMP traps did not work
• Link previews were not displayed in Physical Segments Map
• Custom layout of a map was not saved after enabling and disabling 'Share visual map' option
• Entering long owner name in NetCrunch Event Log caused the database error

The following bugs and issues have been fixed:

• Maps in the Web Access were not refreshed after 'Warning' window appeared in Administration Console window
• Filters could not be applied in the 'Event Log' window
• Selecting 'Show Inventory' option for a node without inventory data caused database connection loss
• After editing a map, atlas could not be saved
• Loading Windows counters list through low bandwidth connection caused program error
• Invalid date (12/30/1899) was displayed for 'Service Agreement' after the Remote Access license was installed
• Remote connections to NetCrunch Server became unavailable after Service Agreement for Remote Access has expired
• Incorrect number of connections was displayed in the 'Connection Broker' window
• Alerts were not cleared for nodes with 'Suppress Node Service Events' option enabled
• The 'Event preview' window appeared behind 'Alert notification' window when 'Stay on Top' option was selected

The following bugs and issues have been fixed:

• Connecting via Web Access to NetCrunch Server failed
• Installation of NetCrunch 6 on machine where RC was previously installed, could cause data loss
• 'Disabled by Atlas' displayed on map status, after atlas was re-opened
• Administration Console start blocked by hanging NCIS.exe process
• Changing device type in SNMP tab of iTools caused error
• Changing date range in Trend Exporter caused error
• Error occured when opening multiple Consoles
• 'Check Device' function in GSM options didn't detect GSM devices properly
• Bugs related to upgrade from NetCrunch 5.3 to 6.0
